Studio Lalala is an atelier, by Priyanka Shah, a multi-faceted creative director, artist and designer. It is the manifestation of her constant questioning and reinterpreting of the routine and the familiar. The work here begins where conventional expectations of a creative studio end.

Here, Shah comes together with experts and collaborators to craft visual narratives for brands - Creative Direction, Spatial Design and Styling for Shoots, Visual Merchandising, Window Displays, Installations and more, that look to transcend the ordinary. 

The Studio specialises in an array of creative domains, from product narratives/ brand communication/ communication campaigns, window displays to runway design, product styling, set design, and any other pursuit imaginable as well as ones yet to be imagined: offering a holistic, 360-degree approach to creating a visual language for you.

OUR PROCESS

Holding reason, concept and a tinge of history as an anchor for every project, we create new lines of brand narratives focusing on bespoke craftsmanship. We ideate, challenge, question and conceptualise plans, build briefs, all the way to the ultimate execution; transforming ideas into surreal masterpieces - through sculpture, imagery, prints, or other mediums. Ideas are then brought to live through obsessively detailed craftsmanship. Our sets are not off-the-shelf, they are born from a variety of in-house tested materials and techniques. Every prop, every element, from the placement of a shrub, to choosing the rug, tableware and lighting, everything is done in-house and from scratch. This way we weave-in the client’s narrative into every fibre of our sets. There is an equal explanation behind every carefully placed prop and every thought-out negative space. At Studio Lalala, we engage with the simplest idea and craft an intricate, hands-on process to give it a new form. We look to constantly engage and further empower others with an oddball production of art and experiences.

PRIYANKA SHAH

Priyanka Shah is a multi-faceted creative working and rebelling between the realms of Art and Design. Born and raised in Mumbai, Priyanka studied advertising at Rachana Sansad College and, later, Visual Communication at London College of Communication. After having practised graphic design for 7 years, she switched to creating her own space with Studio Lalala, where she gets her hands dirty with materials, textures and forms to communicate stories through visual semiotics.
